The seminar will take place on Thursday\, March 12\, from 11:30 to 12:30\, in room N833. The presentation will be delivered in English.    \nDr. Bier’s research focuses on understanding how bacteria respond to antibiotic exposure and how these responses can be analyzed to uncover antibacterial mechanisms. During her doctoral training at Harvard Medical School\, she studied how a novel environmental strain of Aeromonas dhakensis selectively eliminates Vibrio pathogens such as Vibrio cholerae. DESCRIPTION:Annual Meeting of the Microscopy Society of Canada (MSC-SMC) – McGill University \nThe organizers are pleased to invite you to attend the next Annual Meeting of the Microscopy Society of Canada/Société de Microscopie du Canada (MSC-SMC)\, to be held this May at McGill University. \nMSC-SMC 2026 will bring together students\, researchers and professionals from various disciplines for several days of scientific exchanges\, technical presentations and networking opportunities. \nThe conference will be preceded by a Microscopy Summer School on May 25 and 26\, 2026\, featuring presentations and practical sessions in analytical electron microscopy\, advanced optical microscopy\, digital image analysis and X-ray microscopy.
