As part of our upcoming departmental seminar, we are pleased to welcome Éric Déziel, Professor at INRS–Institut Armand-Frappier, and invited speaker of Dr. Marylise Duperthuy. The presentation will be delivered in French.
Prof. Déziel is a recognized expert in microbiology, particularly in the field of sociomicrobiology. His research explores the complex social behaviors of microorganisms, including intercellular communication (quorum sensing), multicellular organization, and bacterial motility. His work focuses notably on Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Burkholderia, as well as on microbial metabolites such as biosurfactants, with the aim of developing innovative alternatives to conventional antibiotics.
