Dopamine: a neurotransmitter discovered 70 years ago but still misunderstood.

This seminar will present some of the Trudeau laboratory’s recent discoveries on the mechanisms of dopamine secretion in the brain, and on the mechanisms involved in the death of these neurons in Parkinson’s disease. This work will serve to illustrate that this neurotransmitter remains an illustrious unknown to this day.
