Sticky Business: Rhodobacter’s Unique Take on Polar Adhesion
Date : February 26, 2026, 11:30 am to 12:30 pm
Location : Pavillon Roger Gaudry, Room N-833
Dr. Zppa's research focuses on bacterial adhesion and biofilm formation, with particular emphasis on polar adhesion mechanisms in Alphaproteobacteria. His work integrates bacterial genetics, phenotypic characterization, and functional genomics to better understand the molecular basis of surface attachment.
Activation of the relaxin receptor by chemically divergent agonists
Date : February 23, 2026, 11:30 am to 12:30 pm
Location : Pavillon Joseph-Armand-Bombardier, Room: 1035

Dopamine: a neurotransmitter discovered 70 years ago but still misunderstood
Date : February 19, 2026, 9:00 am to 10:00 am
This seminar will present some of the Trudeau laboratory's recent discoveries on the mechanisms of dopamine secretion in the brain, and on the mechanisms involved in the death of these neurons in Parkinson's disease. This work will serve to illustrate that this neurotransmitter remains an illustrious unknown to this day.
