Our platforms

The scientific possibilities arising from our research and discoveries are limitless.

Our teams of scientists join forces to unravel the greatest mysteries of life. The CIB enables the integration of quantitative methods and innovative approaches, using cutting-edge technological platforms to better understand the functioning of living organisms, from a single molecule to their organization into complex cellular systems. We conduct in-depth research that explores bacterial physiology and the discovery of new antibiotics, the structure of macromolecules and gene/protein regulation, the cellular composition of the brain and computational neurosciences, the organization of our organs and tissues, and more. The scientific possibilities arising from our research and discoveries are limitless. We openly share our data, ideas, and tools with the world to accelerate progress and unlock the full potential of our breakthroughs.

The creation of the CIB revitalizes our community

“We have put forward an ambitious plan to support the creation of a world-class center in fundamental sciences that brings together our strengths on campus around various themes and cutting-edge technological platforms. The establishment of the CIB revitalizes our environment, preparing us for the next pandemic, discovering and characterizing the therapeutic targets of tomorrow, and advancing knowledge on the fundamental mechanisms of life and human health.”
