“Deploying the One Health approach at the territorial scale
From the Camargue in France to the oyster farming areas of Brazil, anticipating health risks in wetland and coastal environments.
Dr. Destoumieux-Garzón’s research focuses on immunity and emerging infectious diseases in marine invertebrates, on the adaptation mechanisms of Vibrio bacteria against host defenses, and on the circulation of antibiotic resistance in coastal marine environments. Since 2024, she co-directs the Camargue Health-Environment Workshop Zone (ZACAM) and coordinates the international project EcoHealth4Sea. She is the author of nearly one hundred international scientific publications.
