CIB Scientific Retreat

On October 17, CIB researchers will gather at the Walter Mtl space to discuss the development of the stategic vision of the CIB and propel us toward the next stages of the Center’s life. There’s still time to suggest changes to the agenda by emailing at [email protected].

New Histology Platform

Room 5308 of the Desmarais Pavilion is now home to the CIB’s histology platform. With the valuable collaboration of the Department of Pathology, we provide all the necessary equipment for processing your tissues.

More details at the next meeting of researchers or by writing to us at [email protected]

Confocal Microscope with New Airyscan Module

The Zeiss LSM800 confocal microscope, located in room R-421 of the Roger-Gaudry Pavilion, now has a new Airyscan module, allowing for faster and higher-resolution imaging. The device is available immediately for training and booking. Please note that it will be relocated to Desmarais in 2025.

Send us your questions or request training at [email protected]

The CIB and the Department of Pharmacology and Physiology have acquired a gentleMACS™ Octo Dissociator with Heaters from Miltenyi Biotech. The device is available to all CIB teams and enables automated tissue homogenization for your primary cell preparations. Contact us for details.

New Researcher Christine A. Roden

Professor Christine Roden joined the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine in August 2024. Her work will focus, among other things, on the assembly of viral particles of RNA viruses. Her lab is located in the J.A. Bombardier Pavilion. Welcome, Christine!
