CI2B is pleased to announce the launch of a 3D printing service for the repair, modification and adaptation of laboratory tools.

This service is offered free of charge to CI2B member laboratories and platforms, thanks to a grant from the Vice-Rectorate for Research, Discovery, Creation and Innovation (VRRDCI). It is part of the Innovation Laboratory’s call for infrastructure projects on ecoresponsibility in research (Construire l’avenir durablement).

To submit a repair or design request that could benefit from 3D printing, please contact Normand Cyr by email (normand.cyr@umontreal.ca), specifying this information:

  • Name and laboratory
  • Type of request (repair, adaptation, custom creation)
  • Type of plastic to be used (PLA, PETG, TPU, PC, ABS)
  • 3MF/STL file (if available)

3D design assistance is also available, depending on the complexity of the project. More information about this service is available on the CI2B Platforms Wiki.
